Somebody called me claiming to be from Vale of White Horse Council asking about electoral roll, knew my name and was I at xxxxxxxx, xxxxx quoting my address. Told them I wouldn t verify anything and to send me a letter. Vale of White Horse is in Oxfordshire but they were calling from Birmingham, when i said why are you calling me from Birmingham, he said something like. I m calling from Newbury or somewhere, sounded dodgy so I ended the call
No message left by this number. I dialled it back and it had one long ring tone as in U.S or Canadian calls. No one was answering there when I rang back.

SCAM / SPAM - Automated voice stating that they are from HMRC and threatening arrest with not connected to an agent by press 1.
Unsolicited call. The caller claimed to be my policy advisor. I asked what company and what policy. All I got in response was "i'm your policy advisor". I hung up. 15 second call. Definite scam. SCAM Allegedly from HMRC stating there is a fraud against me and a warrant out for my arrest.
They call and ask you for a one time payment to support a magazine to go into schools regarding bullying. ONCE. ONE TIME ONLY. You do not sign a contract, you do not enter into an agreement. They then persistently call you and ask you for more money as apparently you have entered into a contract.
