'Dave', aledgedly from BT, rang to say my internet speed was very slow. To fix it, he needed remote access to my computer or smart phone. I told him I was recording the call and he hung up. Clearly a scam call. Working from a script and not able to cope with my many questions!
Someone using this number called several times eventually getting through to me. He sounded as though he was abroad, couldn t say my last name and asked if I remembered having an accident two years ago as he could help me get compensation. I asked why he would be interested in getting compensation for me and told me he was the Motor Insurer Bureau and that was what they did. Been ringing constantly and some S.African female won t let me speak or pass me to anyone and I m trying to get my money back that they took from my account. The number isn t a London one despite claiming so and I either get this female all the time if it is answered and she doesn t let me speak or an answer machine.
