Rang twice within seconds, rang off when I replied.
They keep calling and leaving voice mails and the voice mails are just moaning and groaning sounds

They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. They said that he needed to transfer ?11,000 from another account to sort out the problem and he would give the details of the account that he needed to transfer the money to. 21/08/2012 received a call to a domestic land line, asking for Mr. Smith. No Mr. Smith here. When I queried the number the caller thought she had called, it was my number, not a misdial. Querying where she was calling from she said Selsey, West Sussex, but a 1471 showed she was calling from Oxford. Suspicious.
I chose to opt out, but the calls continue, very annoying

I get calls like this all the time from people claiming to help write off debts. I don t even have any but apparently it pops up that I do.
Starts out as said previously knowing all details like name address postcode etc. then gradually moves onto how you pay for your telephone and then the cruncher - what is the ex...
