rang on my mobile, which is not a published number. I didn t answer, when I tried to call them back, system message said the other person has hung up . tried a few times, always get the same message.

Seems like SPAM. Asked from this number and another number if I was "Dr Jason" / "Dr Thomas". Pretending to be the same person from two different numbers asking about a vet appointment. Seemed fairly innocuous initially but then asked for my name and blocked as it seemed fishy.
Keep getting calls from this number, with no message left.

These days it is well worth having caller display on a land line - mobiles have it anyway. So for all these callers, 0845-, unavailable, withheld, etc., just lift the receiver and drop it back immediately, or, on a mobile, answer the call and immediately shut it down. This stops answerphone message.
SCAM - received call stating they were BT technical department alleging issue with internet and asking how I was today, my response, I hung up! Last week the call std code was in Blairgowrie for same issue. Really!!
