Had a call from this number a man claiming to be Mike Smith - saying I was owed money from the bank and due a cheque - He claimed to be in London - which I doubted as when I said I would pop down and see them in my lunch hour he hung up! - Also rude and said I was wasting his time! - claimed to be from a Government company??? also something to do with the high court lol did not know what season it was in this country ! ODD!!!

SCAM / SPAM automated system saying they are from HMRC. Big scam called HMRC and they say they never make calls. Con artists.
The call evaded BT block. It appeared on our screen as an announced International Call. We let ring out to answering machine.Of course no message was forthcoming. This is the second time within 24 hours.The first call is timed 3.47pm Monday 29/11/21.The second call was today at 1.35pm.
called about a franking machine, very pushy won't take no for an answer and keeps calling multiple times a day. most likely a scam Im guessing

This caller is very plausible and is subtly trawling for password possibilities. DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING PERSONAL. Called number back and he was baffled, claiming to be private number in Essex. Second call to him by my husband revealed he was S.African, told him his number was in London and asked for his website as we are aware of scam calls "Sure my site is" and he was gone. We don t expect to get the promised holiday vouchers now.
