SCAM Although I use Adblock Plus, some websites insist I turn this off and I'm guessing thanks to this my Firefox navigated to a bad page PRETENDING to be Windows Defender finding a Trojan (after the first click inside the browser window it maximises the browser making this look more realistic) and requiring me to call this very phone number. Who called me!?
Credit card/bank account scam. Recorded message stated unusually high values transactions had occurred. Did a quick online check of my accounts and there were no such transactions.
SCAM 07921 123548 called,asked me to press no 1 on my mobile to stop a transaction taking place in foreign country?
Safe number - relates to car collection.
Calling on behalf of local energy company he said. Sounded real but then realised it was a recording when I asked a question and he just carried on talking, with no reaction. Had previously answered when asked who he was calling on behalf of. Brummie accent.
SCAM This number called me today. It was a bot voice claimed it is from UK HMRC and asked me to press 1 to speak to an officer. I didn't press, but it is highly suspicious.
Probable scam. Didn’t answer but when I called back I had a message saying the number was not in use. This is a red flag for a scammer!
