02030973793 phoned 28/7/2022. Claimed that money from bank account had been removed and we were due a refund. Identity of caller was garbled but they did name me. Closed call. Treating as dangerous.

This is a scam call. They call you to see if you pick up, to confirm that the number is active, and then they will follow up with various scam calls like phone contract offers, insurance scams...etc
This number has rung my home phone number twice in 5 minutes (which is ex directory & on the TPS!) My daughter answered the phone & the woman was insistant Id been in a Road traffic accident, she didnt say she was from a claim company . My daughter was worried & rang me on my mobile to make sure I was ok .Devious & unnecessary cold calling leaving my daughter upset I will be reporting this number to the TPS ..

Caller: "Hello, am I speaking to xxx. My name's Kelly and I'm calling from the claims department" Me: "The claims department in Manchester" - on...
On returning this call it was an automated response saying that as my phone contract was due to expire shortly they could offer info. on new handsets etc. Press 1 to remove from their database, 2 to speak to someone. On entering 1 you are requested to enter your no. then the hash tag. Upon doing this the line went dead. Hopefully I won t now start receiveing lots of Spam!
There are lots of links to reviews about this company on google.They use several names to confuse people. As per previous comments, I would advise all to stay clear of these people. They make harassing calls and tell untruths - they will arrange to come to your home and rip you off. I have told the TPS about them and if they call back I will be informing the police and trading standards. I have spoken to my neighbours too to warn them and will be on the lookout for shifty individuals on the date they wanted

SCAM / SPAM seeing if I have been involved in a car accident

SCAM Claimed to be from BT Broadband and told me my internet router was sending error signals to them and that I wasn't getting the speed I should be. They give you a bit of blurb about internet speed and then ask you to turn on your laptop, they ask you to press 'Ctrl + Windows +R' then type: - 'Eventvwr' into the box. They then use screen that comes up to persuade you that you have a problem. Once they have you convinced, which is easily done if you are not tech savvy, the sting.. Your money!!!
