Have had two calls on my mobile from these people, both asking for me by a different name. Then it turned out they claimed I had asked for a quote for car insurance (I don t own a car). So I searched under the number and found these comments. Can ignore them in future.

Message from far flung corner of the Russian Federation. Talking about an HSBC account and new payee ...... I don’t have an HSBC account . Manifest SCAM !
Caller fraudulently advised he was from my bank, wanting my security details, which I declined to give. He advised he was cancelling my debit card, and could not send me a new one without those details, and that a fraudulent purchase had been made with my card. Hung up, and phoned my bank, who advised it was an attempt to steal my card details. Beware, never give out details unless you have made the call to a verified number.Fraud
Unknown.
Phoned did not speak annoying dragging you to the phone for no good reason. I have better things to do than speak to fools
Had them call around midday and it claimed they were following up on the government's free loft insulation. It then started asking questions and I noticed that if I didn't give the 'right' answer it would repeat the question. I think it is a computer-controlled call that responds to replies and from searches it may also be a cloned number. I hung up and call barred them.
pretending to be from Nationwide- I do have an account with them but not at the postcode he asked me to confirm- when I asked him to explain what his call was about before I gave my details, he hung up on me! Said his name was Daniel- very heavy accent
Silent call
