Internet. Calling from a Northern Irish telephone number. Claim to be from BT checking your router's download and upload speeds and wanting me to run a program so they can have access to my computer to supposedly clearing any faults. I did not run program.

Fraud. A person claiming they are calling form CarPhone. Trying to sell me a new mobile plan with 40% discount. They could answer a my question if they are want me to switch my provider or they have a deal from my own mobile provider. They also didn't know who my provider is but wanted me to tell then. I started asking questions and it became more and more evident it is a scam. A dangerous fraud / scam call pretending to be from the UK HMRC. Automated American woman's voice telling me legal proceedings are underway against me and I need to press 1 to speak to an officer. For many reasons, that's not how HMRC would operate.

Caller from this number stated that hmrc were giving back tax paid on ppi claims. I was due over £6000! Proceeded to ask me help to fill R40 form, my date of birth and then my national insurance number. At that point I asked her to send me the form as I didn't want to give my details. I think this could be a scam.

Asian male ... from Virgin Media ...said my broaband was not working properly. I hung up. Worryingly this scammer is purporting to be phoning from close to my own area so the number looks genuine.

Received the text today ! Received on the 26th Dec and referred to 24th Dec. The exact message as above “Attempted Delivery”. This following is clearly obvious “Royal Mail were in Strike on the 24th Dec”. These stupid Thieving Clowns. Now reported to the “National Cyber Security Centre” You can forward the text to 7726 Don’t forget to create the contact and then block the contact. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS ! Hope this helps.

scammers calling me back after I almost fell for their online fraud....I tried to watch a film and a WINDOWS message came across the screen to say i have a virus and to ring these number (supposedly WINDOWS) , as not to completely ruin my laptop I called the number then immediately realised what was going on...a man answered since then the second number has been calling me.... both say London England on my numbers list 02039233300 and 02045205156

DANGER, beware, this is clearly a scam; vocal reconstruction makes it sound authentically English but it's criminal.
