Audio text service number. Called with an audio translation of a text someone sent to my landline. Has happened before. Owned and operated by BT and used by most phone operators...
SCAM It claims that the call is from Amazon that I have purchased iPhone for certain price and then if I have not purchased should press 1. Then may be they are trying to steal your data. So stupid Amazon never calls people for purchases even if you buy £1000s of pounds items. They dont care all their products are from their customers with guaranteed insurance and return policy. This is a very silly fraudulent scam. Please block the number before even they call u, one headache less. I blocked them for ever.

SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.

This number called twice yesterday and once today. Being invited each time to leave a message on my answering machine there were no messages left. On ringing it I (eventually) got a message that the Voice Mail box was full (probably people like myself trying to find out what they were up to). Just received a call from this number, they rang off before l could answer, but didn't dial the number back. Seems to be a lot of scam calls from 08000 numbers to the UK. You'd think the Gov'ment would tackle this harassing, persistent issue so many of us have to experience on a daily basis of upto 6 times a day
