Called my wife and to say her washing machine insurance was due and would she like to renew. The scary part for my wife is they gave her our home address as well.
Robotic voice: Called me saying that is the HMRC and I committed a fraud to press 1 otherwise I will be arrested shortly
These calls are not from Manchester. The numbers are spoofed by the scammers. NEVER call these numbers back or you may get caught for a huge phone charge.
Keeps calling i answered and it is silent. Very odd so properly a scam as I had 5 called previously from withheld number.

Calls from company called CMK trying to sell life insurance. Previously also got a call from them from 03303412016 which I'd already blocked.

Yep I received this too - states it s about Tax and if I don t reply or they don t hear from me or my solicitor... to get ready to face the legal consequences hah...
Automated phishing call from a supposed internet provider
I found the lady who called me very polite and clear to why she was calling. I did have a lovely lady come out to see me..she gave me lots of helpful tips and advice and also gave me the monitoring cost. Seeing as the company is SSAIB approved (as I called them to check) and the alarm system is fantastic. I went ahead with the offer. I am extremely happy with the company s services.
