This is a scam do not under any circumstances answer this call block the number it comes from Vietnam you have bern warned
Caller said washing machone cover was expiring today. Wanted to know if the machine was working okay. She knew my address. Without further dialgoue said the cover would remain the same - as I interrupted her to say I had not agreed to any further cover she hung up. I subsequently checked and I have 10 year cover valid for another 5 years so this was highly likley to be the start of a scam.

Fraud phishing for information. Asking about trading accounts and inactivity. he had an Eastern eurpean voice. Can hear other similar calls in the background. Used threatening language such as coming round to smash my face in.
Scam posing as virgin media technical support. Saying your Internet speed needs adjustment because your not getting the optimal speed and to go on to pc or laptop to adjust it.

I was actually phoned by the number 01172948771 (but the internet can't find a number to match), but I was told I could call back on 01413679893. Claiming to be UK Energy Tariffs/Together Energy/Direct Energy - I got all three names in the course of a single phone call. Definitely trying to get my bank details off me, because apparently, I can't get this energy deal on their website, which they gave me as being ukenergytariffs.com but seems to be for South Africa if you look at the privacy statement.
