I suspect scam. Don’t know who called - automated message implied that internet connection would be cut off in 24 hours. Said press 3 - NOT DONE. I have blocked number.
I had a text from this number saying they are Royal Mail and asking for £2.99 for delivery of a parcel , this is a scam , someone trying to get my personal details .
On 24th March 2021 I was called on 01217773639. I didn't make it to the phone so dialled 1471. The number turns out to be a Birmingham number for the address of Anthony Terence Lapworth of 39 Webb Lane, Birmingham. However Mr. Lapworth, born in 1925, died in 2010. Mr. Lapworth married Doris Mary J. Minton in 1946. Doris died in 1985. No. 39 Webb Lane, a bungalow, was last sold in 2014. This is what happens when a dead man telephones a genealogist.

Scam call claiming to be from National Insurance and claiming your NI number is being used fraudulently and you risk arrest if you do not resolve the issue immediately, it then asks you to press 1 on your phone, do not press 1 this is a scam.
