In one day I had 17 calls from this number(all came up on caller ID). That was a record -- usually it s 6-9 calls. No reputable company could be this desperate to talk to me. Now I just leave the phone off the hook for hours at a time to give them the same aggro back and maybe slow them down a bit. So far, this strategy seems to have reduced the calls, but it s early days and they are stupidly persistent. Called today by a woman who asked if we were experiencing a high volume of unwanted telephone calls as our postcode was experiencing a higher than normal volume of calls. Offered to block cold calls but was advised that, as my number was registered with TPS, I would be submitting a complaint about her call. Ironic that a company cold calling people is offering to block cold calls at a cost !!!!
