It’s just the Three sales and marketing team offering you additional contracts or deals, usually along the lines of “We can add another family member on for £X per month” or “You can add an iPad to your contract”. A few days after answering the call from 02081619770 I received a message on my answer machine about unauthorised transactions on my credit card and inviting me to press various numbers to talk to someone. This confirms my suspicion that the original loft insulation call is simply a way for the scammer to confirm that the number dialled is real.
