Yet another tax investigation arrest threat scam/fraud.
SCAM, claimed to be from Virgin Media security department. Yet, didn't know the name of the person they were trying to call.
Recorded message that he was from HMRC and there was a warrant for unpaid taxes. I should press button 1 and arrange to pay the fine. Naturally I did not.
Text message received stating "Confirmed: Your Amazon order Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch M1 8-Core for 2600 GBP. Order id O51-34521760t on 25-3-2021. If NOT you, Please Call (+44)808 196 4435 TM-Billing shown as contact. Suspected dangerous spam.
This morning @ 11.23 hrs received a call on my landline from 01249823787. They stated that they were from Visa and wished to confirm if I had made a purchase of £800.00. Please press 1 if not you or please 2 if it was you. I pressed 1 and was told they would put me through to fraud department. All went silent. Looked up number which belongs to a domestic location, not Visa. This week I have now had 3 potential scams via my landline. SCAM all the way. Please spread details around/ take care of older adul

SCAM Calls with and Asian accent and asks for name and details. Then hangs up.
Fraud/Scam. They sent a text claiming to be from HSBC (I'm not with them) about a suspect transaction, with a link to a no-doubt bogus page. I took the liberty of texting back, conveying the sincere wish that they choke.
Internet The above number rang, female voice saying she was calling re my BT internet connection, supposedly being attacked by hackers, offering better security. I am not with BT. I was told to open my computer, go to Safari or Google and type in VALIDATOR.w3.org. I asked what this would do and got an answer that didn't explain anything. I kept asking the same, so she transferred me to a 'supervisor'. This man gave me the same nonsense answer, wouldn't accept that I wasn't with BT and got very abusive.

SCAM - no one there when answered
Unacceptable call. Call centre cold call. No name. Mumbled the name of the company. Qmath tuition or something. But was asking very intrusive questions about my child. Really creepy. Incoming calls are blocked.
SPAM. Claimed to be the "Local energy advisor in the area". He kept talking through me telling me that I was the home owner. Didn't ask my name and hung up when I repeated asked him who he was.
Automated callsaying I missed a call from my internet provider. I put the phone down at this point
