I suspect this call to be a SCAM. We do NOT know any one in Skipton. Short ring on my phone so they want you to call back. DO NOT DO IT! I traced this call to Hotel Rendezvous, Skipton, North Yorkshire.

Medical = told me they were Public Health and had I had any major health problems recently. I sharply told them that was none of their business and they hung up. They had my name to ask if it was me on the line which is a bit worrying.

I was called from this number this morning claiming to be from my bank. It was a recorded message and not a ‘live’ caller. I was informed there were two suspect transactions from my account and, if they weren’t from me, I should press 1 on my keypad. I hung up immediately, checked my bank account and saw that the transactions didn’t exist so I assume that this was an attempted scam.
