Title: Apple's FaceTime is now available for Android and PC
description: We were able to find out that Apple has released iOS 15 update for iPhone users, introducing some feature enhancements. It turns out one of the apps that has been significantly updated is FaceTime, Apple's video calling app.
What was FaceTime used for?
Until now, the FaceTime app could be used by Apple users for video calls, for example from iPhone to iPhone. But now FaceTime can be used for both Android and PC users. This is a fantastic solution. The pandemic has caused a huge spike in video calling, and Apple wants to make sure its users continue to use FaceTime - even when calling friends who have an Android device.
It's worth noting that you can create a link or send a message to a FaceTime call from your Apple device.
How to do it ? The instruction is very simple.
Step 1: Open the FaceTime app on your iPhone or iPad
Step 2: Here you can see your recent FaceTime call. You can also find two options called Create Link and New FaceTime
Step 3: After selecting Create link in FaceTime, the share sheet will directly open to share it across different apps or copy the link. You can also add a name to this FaceTime call. This method is very useful if you need FaceTime with a contact on your computer.
Step 4: Another option is to select a new FaceTime. This option will ask for a contact name to send a non-iMessage message. When an Android user receives a link to a text message to FaceTime, they can join the conversation. Here, the user will have to enter their name when prompted and then select Join to enter the Facetime connection.
