description: Twitter has revived the profile verification process on its platform that allows the user to get a badge or a blue check. The company removed the feature almost four years ago and brought the feature back with a few new updates. What is known about these new updates? How can I apply for Twitter profile verification and get a blue badge for my account? You can read about it in the next part of our article.
Users or accounts applying for the Twitter verification process must be under the new set of guidelines to be awarded the blue tag.

Eligible users include government officials, companies (brands and organizations), news organizations / journalists, entertainment, sports and games, activists, organizers, and other influencers. No other account or user would be considered in the verification process. It is worth mentioning that the account applying for verification must be complete. This means that the account should have a profile name, profile picture, and a confirmed email address or phone number to complete the verification process. The account should also be active in the last six months.

How to get verified on Twitter?

Step 1: Open the Twitter app or desktop version and click on the more option and go to the Settings and Privacy tab.

Step 2: Now select the account and then click on Account Information.

Step 3: After completing the above steps, click Verify Request.

Step 4: Now you will get the option of "Start Request"; Click on it.

Step 5: Now all you have to do is submit the application and wait for the company to verify your account. If all the criteria are met, you can soon expect a blue tick for your profile.

It's worth mentioning that you don't need to submit any official ID to verify your account. It's simple, isn't it?
