description: WhatsApp fell into a mill of changes after updating its privacy policy. Everything indicates that the programmers creating this application are working intensively on several new features. Work is currently underway on the vanishing images.
What does this mean in practice ? This means that you will be able to send self-destruct images on WhatsApp soon. As the name suggests, the images will self-destruct after a predetermined amount of time for both the sender and recipient. We got to the screenshots and now we know what and how! Looking at the screenshots, we can see WhatsApp has added a new toggle next to the text box in the image preview window. Turning on the switch reads: "This media will disappear when you leave this chat." In other words, users can send whatever images they want and they will disappear after leaving the chat. Additionally, those who receive the vanishing WhatsApp image will also be notified of incoming media. After opening this image, they may see a notification telling you that it will be gone soon.
Recipients can still take a screenshot of the disappearing image on WhatsApp, which can be further distributed on the popular messaging platform. Also, the feature does not alert the sender to the screenshot. In situations like these, WhatsApp may seem to be introducing these features only to create a thin layer of privacy that is filled with gaps! If there is a function that warns about the planned screenshot, then it will surely be much better.
Work on improving the application is ongoing, so there are certainly many more improvements waiting for us, up to a very stable and very secure version.
