Step 1: First, open the front camera of your smartphone.

Step 2: Now click on the "Timer" icon which is at the top of the screen. The location of the timer icon depends on the brand of the smartphone.

Step 3: Then you can select any duration icon from 2 seconds, 3 seconds, 5 seconds and 10 seconds.

Step 4: Now tap on the click button and the countdown will begin. Then you can pose before the camera clicks your selfie.

Step 5: After taking a selfie, you need to open your Instagram account. Then click on the "Plus" icon located at the top of the home page.

Step 6: Now select the "history" option and upload your selfie from the gallery. Then you can use Instagram effects, stickers and music.

Step 7: Finally, it's ready to share your story with your family on Instagram.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app and click on the "Plus" icon located at the top of the home page. Then tap on "Reels". Or you can swipe right to open the camera and view options like Posts, History, Rolls, and Live. You need to tap on the Reels option.

Step 2: Now you can see the "timer" icon on the screen and you will get two countdown options - 3 seconds and 10 seconds. Select and click "set clock".

Step 3: Finally, your countdown timer is set. You can now shoot your reels using sound, speed, effect and so on. Everything is very easy.
