Google Nearby Sharing is new to Google. What is this modern service for? Google Nearby Sharing is about making sharing easy for users.
Users can use Google Nearby Sharing to quickly exchange photos, videos, text, contact info, directions, YouTube videos, and other short-range data.
Below is a brief instruction on how to use this modern feature.
Step 1: First, open the Google Files app on your Android phone
Step 2: Then click on the three line menu option> select the Make available offline button
Step 3: Note, some devices may have the Share button at the bottom of the screen directly; just click it
Step 4: The display will now show Nearby sharing> Select Send
Step 5: The page will now open to files and media that you can share. Select the files you want to share, including video, audio, and more. You can also select multiple files at once
Step 6: When done, select the Send button again> Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi here
Step 7: Now make sure the person you are sending the files to has also opened the Files app> Share button> Receive
Step 8: You should also turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in this step
Step 9: Your phone will now detect the recipient's phone; choose it. The recipient should also accept the files you send to their phone
Step 10: After the files are sent, select Done.
The instruction is very easy and should be handled by everyone.
