As it appeared to be a (local) legitimate number, I answered the phone. I couldn t hear anything except a few noises at the end of what seemed to be a very poor connection....

SCAM - Fake HMRC
Someone apparently called "Alan" called me from this company. He called me Mrs (I am not a Mrs!) and asked me how I was I asked him twice what company it was and he wouldn t tell me. He then hung up.
Fraud
Unsolicited call. Informed I d been in an accident...NO! Hung up once I said that. Spoke very quickly so didn t catch the company name fully. Wouldn t repeat it when I asked them to repeat the name of the company. Accident Claims Scam!
Mainly trust your insstincts... If you have not purchased anything, then you have not. And if you have the normal protocal is to receive an email from your sellerr, not a text! I typed in the web address via google search (not from the link in the text) to get to the webpage... To so call manage my order using my laptop... Loads of financial ads...
