"Call from this number claiming to be from O2. I hung up. Checked the number and found the comments on this website. I'll be blocking this number now."
"Called me twice today - didn't answer the first one but they left a voicemail, claiming to be a help desk and informing me a jumper I had ordered wasn't in stock (have not ordered anything from anywhere so immediately suspicious, especially as they didn't give any details about their company or me as a customer which would be usual practice)."

"Called me 3 times in one working day. Kept missing calls but when I saw this thread quickly blocked it! Very annoying"
"I have just spoke to them and it is o2, not a scam. I have not long upgraded and they are trying to sell their other products at discounted rate, was quite pushy on the sell however it was still an ok call."

it's certainly a scam. They are calling me continuously three times a day, but never answered. I blocked them.

"I missed their call but now blocked thanks to this site. Furthermore, I received an SMS a few days ago. Normally, O2 texts come from O2UK - the SMS I received had the header, 'FROMO2' All points to quite the elaborate scam."

"...continued from previous comment: Called again this afternoon and I answered, claimed to be from O2 asking about how my service was, I said i was busy at work sorry and they just went quiet for a bit then hung up. Definitely not O2, can't imagine they would treat customers this way. Realised too from reading comments here that I got a dodgy text from "O2" yesterday but actually says "FromO2" instead of "O2UK" and so is probably part of the same scam. Tells you to opt out by calling 2220."

"This is interesting, since I got a text from O2 about a priorities offer so I clicked to sign up but said unavailable, since they this number has started calling me! Haven't answered yet but I'll be blocking it. Rang me 4 times today"

"Luckily my phone alerts me and shows me if the call is a scam so I don't answer. wouldn't answer anyway if i don't recognise the number. If its important they will leave a message."

"This number IS actually O2. I got a text from them yesterday saying they would contact me about loyalty offers and the call from this number was about their offers. After being stung once yrs ago with an "aol" scam I'm very careful but this thankfully was good. NOT A SCAM."

Someone just called me on this number. I could hardly understand a word he said - he was shouting over a lot of noise in the background.
He said he was from the NHS and wanted to discuss Covid symptoms so I asked him what the first digit of my NHS number is and he hung up.
Clearly didn't fancy the 10/1 odds of being able to guess it correctly...
