SCAM - beware if a supposed family member sends a WhatsApp message saying they’ve lost their phone and that this is their new number. Whoever it was tried to scam 4K from me by pretending to be my son in trouble. Luckily the amount was too much to even think about sending it without speaking to him. So please please make sure you know who you’re talking to. If it had been a smaller amount I may have considered sending it.
SCAM - pretends to be family member whose phone has been damaged. They then say urgent bill needs paying but cant pay via temporary phone so can you pay and they will pay you back tomorrow. I went along with it and they gave bank details which I didn't screenshot fast enough as I was angry but police would love to receive them if anyone gets them. When I exposed them as liars they gave my name and address with the threat of being round in 5 minutes!!!!
Reported to police and action fraud.

Purported to be from Virgin media with a fault on the internet. This nice lady wanted me to help them to fix it! Since when do they need my help to fix their problems? It was the same thing as years ago. Are you in front of your laptop/pc? Please look on your keyboard and... I'm sure many people remember the script. The nice lady would like to mirror your screen to 'help' you fix the problem, and also spend those boring work hours having a bit of a rummage around in your device, and bank account. Genuine?
Another call purporting to be from Amazon Prime. Didn't bother to listen any longer.
To those who might ask "why don't I have them on my blocked list?", the answer is that they change the number with ever call (I now have a list of over 30 different numbers they've used) so as fast as you block them they use another number and neither reporting them or contacting my phone/internet supplier makes any difference.
The person who called had a very strong foreign accent and said something about discontinuing my phone line and emails. Couldn't make out what he wanted and stopped the call. To verified the number, I called back and I had the "unobtainable" sound. Clearly, the call was a SCAM. BEWARE. DON'T GET INVOLVED.
