Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!

Introduced himself as John Shepherd and working for a children's charity, the name of which I did not catch. He checked with me that he had run the right number by checking my company name. Spoke really slowly so I new this was going to be a long call probably looking for money so said I was busy (which I was). Have seen him reported as a scammer on other number check sites.

I was contacted today by an Indian man called Bill Marshall who said my application for a loan of £8000 had been cleared. I asked if there was a fee and he said no, as I was dealing with the direct lender. He said the repayments would be £133 per month for 5 years at 6.8%. He kept asking for my bank details which I did not give as I thought why does he need these as he said we d have to go to London and complete the necessary paperwork. This number called my mobile. I didn’t recognise it so I didn’t answer it. They didn’t leave a message. I’ve blocked the number.
Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!

All I had to do was fill in a simple form they would send me. looks like a Plymouth number but in the past when I have commented about the fact they are in Plymouth on other telemarketing calls they have said they weren't. Didn't want to spend the time asking, although having wasted my time I should be able to waste theirs.

I received a call from this number but didnt answer. When I called back I discovered it was Laithwaites wine merchants, who I have an account with - so it was legitimate call but seems they have changed locations as the area code is definitely a new one.

Got call in day asking if Id been in an accident, she didnt tell me who she was, which raised alarm bells right away so I put down the phone. Rung again twice at 1.09am, I didnt answer. I wouldnt say a company calling at 1.09 am could be a good one. Stop ringing me I have no money....
