Indian accent telling me they were from BT and that my internet access was to be shut down. Usual scammers claiming English name calling from London on poor quality line. Denied it was a lie and that they were criminals. Hung up in the end.
Called about a fake insurance about a car accident I never had.
Received a call and tried to convince me that Windows was corrupted / then that internet line at house was corrupted. Technician called Rose Brown offered a 2 year new windows licence for 140 GBP / 4 year licence for 220 GBP and 10 year multiple machine licence for 305 GBP. Clearly knowledgeable around computer with enough background knowledge to bluff the unwary

People this is wild :). Seems to be some call centre working for multiple clients (or fake companies), similar numbers of the same range 016185401xx are already reported with life insurance, car accident chasers, financial management (debts, loans, pensions) - companies Legal Advice, QTS... I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.
