Unannounced, unnamed Caller said I had a number of unauthorised transactions to a value of £2300 on my debit or credit card. Press button 1 to authorise the transactions or another number to speak to a team.
This caller had a strong foreign accent, claimed to be calling from BT and was attempting a conversation. I couldn't understand her.
Found text perporting to be from DPD about a parcel not being delivered because not enough postage charges paid.... Scam I have ordered nothing for weeks, am not expecting anything. Has a link - marked dangerous by my provider.
This is a genuine number from santander fraud team. I was suspicious of the number so I rang it and explained I felt it was a scam and the advisor told me to ring the number on the back of my card which I did. And the fraud team confirmed that the text message was genuine and was from santander.

Definite scam. Claimed (falsely) to be Harry from Carphonewarehous3 in London calling because "we have a special offer on new phones today". I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? Caller said name was PERRY HUTHES asked numerous personal questions managed to get my mum and dad's ages and details about house security before my mum managed to get the phone off Dad. suggested working with Warwickshire police - vague enough to not be an outright lie wanted to get someone into the house for a sales visit. hard sell rather than scammer I think, but still very annoying and careful probing for personal details set the alarm bells ringing.
