I’ve experienced a very odd phone call this afternoon. Automated phone call as soon as I said “hello” the automated phone call started. “Your name has been used in a fraud claim, from the HMRC. Press 1 to speak to someone..” - I put the phone down. My phone didn’t let me ring or receive phone calls for around 3-4minutes after. The mobile phone number used 07719 494435
This is the Halifax bank fraud team who saw a different transaction on my account. Confirmed the number with Halifax directly.
