Insulation SCAM. Female caller wanted to know if I was the owner. Told her to Foxtrot Oscar. Phoned twice more but number already blocked.
SCAM claimed to be BT Openreach and that my internet was a problem. I do not have BT as my broadband supplier
The person said they where from 118 live directory, he asked for the business owner which I am not so I said no I’m afraid he won’t be in untill friday at that point he hung up. I did 14713 and called back to get an automated American voice saying it was utility direct. Scam.
01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
