Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

SCAM Tried telling me I had stolen someones phone and they were ringing about life insurance, tried scare tactics that they would trace where I am so I told them go for it and they hung up
SCAM. Called from London during queens funeral !!! The usual microsoft computer problem - total scam.
SCAM trying to ask about payments to housing association- i dont have a council house- Laughed when I said they were in breach of GDPR

⚠️ Scam call ⚠️ Indian call centre scammers. They will claim to be calling from O2 (if you tell them you're not with O2, they'll change the story and say they're calling from your network provider/carphone warehouse/some other lie). They will try to solicit personal information and bank details from you. Hang up and block the number!
When answer phone clicked in the phone was put down. Left no message.
SCAM Sent a badly worded text saying "You'v e got mail" with an atrocious looking link. No doubt that it's a phishing attack.
