BEWARE POSSIBLE SCAM PHONE CALL Scam phone call offering to renew insurance on our washing machine that was bought on a 1 year warranty in 2017. AVOID
This caller is MKRR (Milton Keynes Rapid Recoveries), and or their subsidiaries (Raven Recoveries Etc). They are calling to scam money out of you on an otherwise unenforceable debt. Do your homework - the chances are if MKRR are chasing you for money then the so called debt is not lawful and therefore unenforceable. This fact won t stop them pestering you though, but if you do you homework (google search MKRR) is should give you peace of mind. There is also loads of good advice in dealing with the likes o

Had a call from someone claiming to be from BT about a problem with internet. No BT line in house. Claimed to be calling from London but Indian accent and non London number
Scam or Fraud Web search didn't reveal anything on this phone number. Call to my mobile purporting to come from HMRC about a tax fraud I've supposedly committed. Options are to press 1 to speak and something else I cannot remember which will result in my arrest shortly. Looks likely to be either a personal information phishing scam or worse, an attempt to get payment over the phone. Clearly didn't get this far!
