Call claiming to be from HMRC regarding a Tax Fraud case that had been raised against my name, but the fact they couldn't tell me my name made me suspect a scam. Phoned HMRC directly and they had no record of any case and didn't recognise the number that dialled me.

I allowed the call to go into my answer phone and then it hung up. I have now barred this number. I always leave an unusual number to ring until the answer phone cuts in.
