Scammers got my name form Mail Order Catalogue sais I was due a 70% discount off restaurant meals. Lots of people heard in background 'call centre' , I put the phone down to the Asian accented lady. WHY does the Government let these people trade? BEWARE. just put the phone down or you WILL LOSE MONEY.

SCAM The caller was a recorded message suggesting they were from a Londoon Magistrate and stated that if I choose to ignore this information then my National Insurance number will be blocked and stop working. After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung.

I don’t recognise the number, they left no message on the answer phone and when I ( foolishly ) called the number back it didn’t connect, there was just a burst of static.
Said that £700 had been charged to my visa card, scam
SPAM - blocked by BT call blocker. Called back a few days later - said "this number is no longer in use". Just had blocked call from VERY SIMILAR NUMBER 01174730148 (called it "the number you have dialled has not been recognised")
