Caller asked for me by name, saying he was from Forte Healthcare. I didn t confirm my name, but I did say that our number is ex directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and that he shouldn t be calling. He said that our number would be removed from their lists. I terminated the call by stating that I would report it to the Information Commissioner. By other comments on various forums, definitely untrustworthy.

Not London. City code is 020 then numbers start with 3, 7, or 8. Not 2. So a fake number.

Had a call for my wife on my mobile. Said she wasn t available and asked who was calling. Identified themselves as Reactive and said it was about a refund - presumably PPI.

The guy said he was calling from boilers on benefits, I asked whereabouts in the country he is, then cut off. Waste their time, be abusive etc. And maybe it will deter these kid...

since i got this number over 10 yeats ago i ve been getting various calls from organisations who are incompanemt enough to either buy old out of date information, or on being told their out of date and promising to delete, fail to do so. they get more money if the info looks legit resulting in me getting more calls from the next one in line

When I started my business 18 months ago I had a call from 118, regarding my free listing . I went with it initially, but ended up calling them to take it down, as salesmen wouldn t stop calling and I even had a few just turn up at the premises! I had NO legitimate business come through 118, they didn t even list the business details correctly. Fed up with stupid automated messages about government grants for heating upgrades, etc. Shouldn't these calls be barred if you're in the TPS?

I made payment to these people too, for advertising in an upcoming event brochure of almost ?230, (I stupidly paid twice, as they rang back the next day and said the payment hadn t gone through, I did actually check with my bank, and there was nothing showing as having gone through the day before, but it did appear within a few days].
