Matthew calling about loft insulation - received a call the same yesterday but from my local area code, scam.

Usual Indian accented person calling me from Talktalk to save my computer from a major disaster. Type of call: Attempted Fraud! Lady called Carol with a strong Indian accent pretending to be from Microsoft and trying to gain remote access to my PC. Definitely not Microsoft, definitely not calling from the UK, and definitely a scam.

A pre-recorded message purporting to be from HMRC to inform me that they are bringing court proceedings against me for tax frauds. I killed the call at that point but I am sure...

Not your credit card, theirs, but in any case it s a well known scam.

Missed calls from this number over past few days. Never leave a message.

I very stupidly entered my details so I could simply get a quote on a loan that I had been messaged details about. Ever since then I have had god knows how many calls and message s, numerous times a day. I now have to put my phone on silent so it doesn t disturb my work. I have blocked a load of different numbers but they keep ringing on different numbers. Word of advice - steer clear of them all!!

Have received numerous calls over the last hour from a woman stating that she had received a text about a receipt and a purchase. Any ideas?

They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.
