I received a call on the 23rd from this number claiming to be from Natwest Fraud team, he knew all of my details and appeared to be genuine. I'm usually very careful about my security but I had a momentary lapse of concentration. I spoke to my bank in branch today who cancelled my card and my banking app. I was told that the person who I was speaking to earlier was very likely to be the scammer himself. I'm so f'ing angry!! Automated call to a person I have never heard of. I phoned back and they claimed they were working on behalf of a Utility Company, but would not tell me which one. I explained there was no one here by that name, as I am the first and only resident here. I asked that they give me the name of the utility company as obviously their information was incorrect. Their call centre probably uses this line to contact utility customers for gas/electric meter reads, hence why it might get a bad rep. I work for them as a meter engineer and they also contact me directly thru it.
