This was a recorded message telling me that a large sum had just been removed from my bank account. By this time I had blocked the call. I have no doubt that they would have gone on to ask me to do something that would have resulted in me being robbed. Claims to be from the Consulate of China, though it is not the official number (or an expected variant, as you might expect if it were an extension). Can't speak Chinese so no idea what the message is - although I've had a number of unexpected calls in Chinese on my phone. Suspect this is a scam

SCAM - very unpleasant call. Recorded message on voicemail (electronic voice) said if I didnt answer I would be arrested immediately. So far no arrest, so looks like I havent woken up in a dystopian nightmare where the police issues threatening electronic messages for 'criminals' afterall. Could be very frightening for some.
