SCAM / SPAM - I received a call today from 020 7245 4672, which was a recorded message to tell me I am in arrears with my Income Tax and to press 1 to speak with someone to sort this out. If I did not respond the recorded message said a warrant for my immediate arrest would be issued for my Tax Arrears. Clearly these idiots think I am daft enough to fall for their SCAM! BLOCK this number if you can and do NOT respond or reply

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16893259xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with Pension review company, PPI. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Some guys called me asking if I was Mr. R. (I'm a woman btw). I said "no" so he said "forget the name then, your number was put as a first point of contact following a minor incident involving a car". When I explained I don't own a car, and have never in my 31 years been involved in any incidents, he just refused to believe me. Kept saying "it was just a minor" over and over again. SCAM. Claimed to be BT Openreach regarding my apparently "hacked" internet (I don't have any internet in my name not am I a BT customer). Same script and same voice used as previous attempt from a different number. Do not give her any personal info. I wasted her time for a while then she got frustrated and hung up.
