Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Its Vanquis Bank chasing payments. When they cant raise you on their usual numbers they get sneaky and divert via an STD code local to you.Its a bit sneaky but they do have a genuine reason for needing to talk with you

They called a few times and hung up when I answered. Then they called again saying that they needed my expiry date on my credit card. I wasted their time until they hung up.

I have been called 3 times by this number today. It is highly irritating as I drive a lot. No one there when I answered the third time of them calling. I called back to a recorded message with an American accent saying This number is out of service . My guess is that they are testing to see if the number is in use and you will get a load of marketing text messages once this number is answered or called back which I recommend you do neither.

Randomly called, not in so went to answerphone, no message left. If it is British Gas, I have never and will never an account with them, so must be marketing in addition to debt chasing as indicated above.

I keep receiving calls from this number and get no reply when I answer it. So it's added to my blocked number list !

They collect on all gov debt. Pretty rude company and very unorganised however they are legitimate. If you deal with them make sure you keep records of the conversations as they may lose information and forget conversations had, even if they call you a hour after you have called them

Had yet another call this morning, message left on the landline answering machine. I have asked repeatedly for my number to be removed because they are asking for someone that isn t me. Every time they say they will remove my number, it goes quiet for a few weeks, then starts all over again. I ve had the same number for 16 years and have told them this, but they still keep calling.

Scam- claim to be working for a company near by and came across my number ( after checking sky shield this number had been calling my phone for the last 4 days whilst I was out) . They claim to save your current BT bill ( even though I am with sky talk talk and pay for the phone ). Don?t argue with them as they get really rude. Just hang up and block them
