Caller asked to speak to the bill payer. I asked the caller to remove my number from their dialling list and he laughed. Said how did I know he wasn t my service provider if I didn t let him speak. I repeated my request and he hung up.

The caller claims to be "Chris, your local energy advisor" , who has called many times previously, using different numbers. Either a phishing scammer or a nuisance caller with too much time on his hands!

They lead you to believe that they are calling for feedback on your order. They do not state that this is a sales call regarding extended warranty - which is exactly what they are doing. They make it seem that it is a fee-free service being offered and only mention the cost at the end. They offered me a warranty on 3 appliances for ?200 pounds a year but phrase it as this is only ?1.50 for your appliance. Very dubious sales tactics. I would not be remotely interested.
