Scam about me being in a car accident, funny thing is I answered while driving and was so distracted telling them to do one I actually crashed my car. Then the bastards didn't want to deal with me

Same experience as others - I answer and say hello then calling party immediately clears the call. Happened circa 11.30 this morning then again at 14.30 this afternoon.

Birkhill underwriters called asking for my dad, asking if he had been in an accident. Wouldn t tell me where he got my details but told me he would remove them from their database. I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.
This number called me claiming someone had used a visa card in my name for a £900.00 purchase. They then asked for bank details, passwords etc, I don't have a visa card, this is most definitely an attempt to access my bank account in a criminal way for criminal purposes.
