I had an automated voice saying my talktalk internet access would be terminated and to press button 2 on my phone. I just put the phone down.

Automated voice, "we ve heard that you ve been involved in an accident..."

These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked. No such number on EE s website, so I call a contact I have at EE and she checked and stated the number is most definitely NOT EE and I should not treat the call as an EE authorised call. Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. They are a central heating company. They will only call you if you have given them or a third party your telephone number.

Not sure.. but I got an automated message when I answered to tell me that my Insurance number had been compromised and I should press 1 before they take action. I hung up. Sounds like a scam !!!!
