SCAM Pretending to be from Royal Mail, wanting me to pay £1.99 for a package (I'm not expecting anything). To pay I have to tap a link.
Automated call saying that the internet would be cut off owing to illegal activity. Scam.
They rang me at 19.06 p.m.When I picked up they were said hello a few times as if they couldn t hear me. I was expecting a call from an unknown number but did not fall for the ring back ploy and came on here. From comments it looks shady so I will block it for future reference.

We received a silent call from them which locked our line for a few minutes even when we put the phone down and pick it up again. We dialed 1471 and got the above number which I called on my mobile but withheld our number and they identified themselves as the above company, as soon as we got the name, we hang up. Said they were from BT and wanted to improve my router to increase my internet speed. Tried to get me to log on to anydesk.com, which is a remote access portal. I actually asked them if doing so would give them access to my computer and they said no. Beware!
