Something about illegal activity and that I should press a number to be connected to an officer and that my national insurance was blocked or something idk.

Unsolicited call offering to block all unsolicited calls! I asked her to start with 01438 940799 as that is unwanted - unsurprisingly she hung up!

SPAM, someone tryin to sell energy services who just keeps harrassing me and my business, also very abusive.

Call allegedly from HMRC Fraud, saying I have a Fraud case against me and if I didn't press "1" the warrant would be issued. Pressed "1" and got to speak to some Indian guy named Alex Morgan (yeah right!!!) who wanted my personal details to bring up my case file. When I was reluctant, he offered to ring me back on their switchboard number so it would identify as HMRC. He hung up and I never got the call back!!! Seems like a new scam.

If this works the same way as telesales they need to keep you on the line for 30 seconds in order to earn their wages. Just hang up...

Office noise in background...long pause before speaking,then just said hello and then cut the line.
