Claims to be British Telecom and that all calls and data services will be terminated unless you press one, otherwise press two. The idiots behind this have never heard of caller ID, which shows a geographic number, which is not something that BT would use. Secondly, they talk about data services, which is not a term that is used in the UK for landlines. Thirdly, they were phoning on a number that is not even associated with BT!

Used my name, new my home address, said they had spoken with me last year about home insurance renewal. Very persistent, very rude - called me a liar when I said that I had renewed my insurance. Refused to listen to my statement that in any event I would not use their company. My husband angrily called the conversation to a halt.
Kept them on the line for an hour talking about a fictitious car accident, got bored and hung up.
