This is a computer scam. I played along in order to waste their time and to get insight into their methods. There is a warm-up act and a main act to follow. Their first tactic is to say they will cut off your computer unless you cooperate. They take you to Event Viewer administrative events in order to show you a scary page with yellow warning triangles and red error messages. Then to another caller for their main strike. They have a complete spurious way of showing your apparent computer |ID which they can

when I answered there was a man talking in the background, when I asked who was calling I got no response and then they hung up. When I tried calling them back, there was no dial tone the line was silent.

Overseas Indian guy telling me that he is from Trading Standards and the Citizen Advice Bureau and a creditor has filed an official complaint about me and that I should sign up for IVA. When I told them I had no loans/ finance he got very rude with me. I said that he should not be calling me because this number was TPS registered and he was still very rude and insisting that he was not trying to sell me anything which was a blatant lie. He hung up when I asked him for his name.
