I had two missed calls from this number within a few months nutes of each other. I did not amswer
0161 343 6187 rang me twice today; picked up but no speaking from the caller; on returning the call the line went dead with the BT message: This number is not recognised - guessing it's either auto dailed telesales, or suspected toe-rags

Said they were calling from Amazon about a high value order I placed. Asked me to confirm. I knew straight away it was a scam as the caller was trying to panic me into cancelling the order and log into account
SPAM This number is from a batch of similar numbers: 07488871703. 07488871758, 07488871735, 07488871757, 07488871649, 07488871624, 07488871560. Many have been missed calls and the rest I let ring out. I rang back and they all have had an answering machine with the same female voice putting me in a queue and at no point saying who they are. Whoever they are, they have the ability to have or create many numbers. They get blocked and move onto another number and call back.
That is what I've been trying to find out. Three web sites I've tried. none gave me the answer, WHO PHONED ME, waste of space, I'm still none the wiser
Claimed to be from Amazon security and wax saying someone was try to spend £700 on my account and asked for my banking info. Immediately very suspicious as sure Amazon would not do this.
SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. He told me the "balance" and the amount was incorrect because I have my bill in front of me and an a real call wouldn't give me info since the account isn't in my name without other info. Called 9 times in quick succession ....number blocked so calls switched to 01233542569....no reply when calls answered SPAM Silent call
