Afte 2 wks of silent calls finally did 1471 which gave their tel no. googled company and rang them suggesting they review policy at call centre as tantamount to harassment and lousy advert for their company - after they ve taken my name off their list obviously!

01899201083 is a company calling to ask if you have PPI. Unsure of company name but they are based in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

Fraud. Received call from this number. When answered, got automated message about my national insurance number being compromised & to press option 1 so action is not taken against me. Didnt press anything & call disconnected itself after a short while.
