Attempt to upgrade insurance cover (and premium)and sometimes claim they are calling with important info about your (existing) policy even though they then offer additional services you specifically declined at policy outset-usually they pull these stunts in the first couple of weeks of policy commence/renewal
Called as it s a local number to me (Amesbury) I picked up as could have been a trustworthy number. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone. Probably called 10 people at once and I wasn t the first to pick up...

I am getting more telephone calls from these PPI cold callers, how can they save me money when they are going to gouge me with their commission. So every time I answer the call to these people and often I play along with them. I always ask them for the nature of the call their company name. The chap starts getting very aggressive when I ask him questions, then repeats to me over and over that I am owed PPI from my bank. I still kept asking the nature of the call and what the name of this company. He did not

This number came up as an HSBC alert. A payee request for Mr J. It did not even click on this to read the message. I suspect it is a scam.
